2009 China Top 10 Low Carbon Contribution International Enterprises

On Jan. 21, 2010, Kardan Water International Group (KWIG) was invited to participate the first Annual Meeting of Low Carbon China Forum and received the Award as one of 2009 Top 10 Low Carbon Contribution International Enterprises in China with three new records:
1. The only professional water company in the List;
2. The only Israeli company in the List;
3. The youngest international company in the List.
              
This Award is jointly sponsored by China People's Political Consultative Committee (CPPCC) and National Development & Reform Committee (NDRC) and jointly voted by the Science and Technology Daily, Renmin University of China, China Industrial Economy News and China Low Carbon Network to list top 10 international companies and Top 10 Chinese companies for their distinguished contribution to support Chinese Government achieving low carbon target in 2009.
            
The Award was announced in the first Annual Meeting of Low Carbon China Forum which was held in the CPPCC Conference Hall of Beijing on Jan. 21, 2010. To support the Forum, leaders from CPPCC, NDRC, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Environment Protection, the State Energy Board and more than 40 Chinese cities' mayors participated this event and addressed their commitments to Chinese environment protection.

Kardan Water International Group (KWIG) is so far the largest Israeli water group in China for comprehensive water-related investment and operation business. After about two and a half years' development in China's water market since 2007, KWIG has acquired and operated 9 projects in Tianjin, Shandong, Hebei and Sichuan province with more than RMB 500 million yuan investment in total and covered several different fields such as waste water treatment, water treatment, desalination and water reuse. Such a remarkable achievement has drawn many people's attention and gained respect of the market as a fast-growing international water company in China.
